Jason Osser graduated from State University of New York at Oneonta with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Economics, and from Binghamton University with a Master of Business Administration with a concentration in Human Resource Management.
After relocating to the Washington, DC metropolitan area in 1996, Jason held a series accounting positions, from staff accountant to controller, until he decided to own and run his own business. Since leaving corporate America over 15 years ago, Jason has been a successful franchise business owner, an accounting and small business expert, a Certified Public Accountant, a real estate investor, and an adjunct professor at local colleges. Jason’s diverse experience enables him to bring insights into how to create a growing and successful small business through disciplined accounting best practices and tax planning.
Although real estate investing started out as a personal hobby, Jason has since expanded that investment portfolio and shared his knowledge and experience with others along the way. Jason is a spokesperson for Long and Foster Real Estate, giving seminars and presentations on tax updates and on how to invest in real estate using Self-Directed IRAs.

To stay current with the latest rules, regulations, and tax law changes, Jason became an instructor with the National Society of Tax Professionals where he traveled around the US helping other CPAs understand the new tax law. In addition to teaching classes and seminars to give back to the community, Jason has served both as treasurer and board member of Stop Child Abuse Now (SCAN).
